The walking and angling in Castlebar have received international recognition Turlough Museum, Croagh Patrick, Ballintubber Abbey, Knock Shrine, Foxford Wollen Mills are some of the places you can visit while staying at Devard. We are within walking distance from the lovely Lough Lannagh Lake.

Dolphin Watching On The Shannon  

The Shannon Estuary is Ireland\'s first marine Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and home to the country\'s only known resident group of bottlenose dolphins.

We offer daily dolphin watch tours from Kilrush Creek marina on board our sightseeing ferry mv \'Dolphin Discovery\' to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. A trip not to be missed! Over 100 dolphins have been identified using the estuary at different times and calves are born each year between May and August.

Where better to spend some time than in the company of these amazing creatures. Sailing operates April to October (subject to demand and weather) and lasts 2-2.5 hours. 3-4 sailings during peak season. Prior booking advisable.

We also operate the ferry service to Scattery Island, a 6th century monastic settlement, just 2 miles from Kilrush. Ring for further information.  

Donegal Adventure Centre  

This three week programme includes a home stay with an Irish family, a two week academic programme comprising of morning classes and afternoon field trips, a one week outdoor activity programme in the west of Ireland and activities such as rock climbing,surfing and kayaking.

Classes include The Gaelic Language, History of Ireland, Literature of Ireland, Traditional Irish Music and Musicianship, Celtic Art and Craft and Emigration and Irish influence in America.

The field trips include visits to The Hill of Tara, The National Museum of Ireland, Kilkenny Castle and Trinity College. Activities available while in the west of Ireland include surfing at Killadoon Beach and hill walking in the Connemara Mountains.

Donegal Bay Boat Charter  

We operate a new high spec. Charter boat based in Donegal town and operating in Donegal Bay and the Sligo and west Donegal coast, and are fully Licensed by the Dept. of Marine.

Sea-angling: We offer wreck, reef, and shark fishing and Hire all Penn & Shimano fishing gear, we cover a lot of ground and are most interested in species hunting. Diving: We Dive wrecks, reefs, drop offs, fast drift dives and low energy dives with seagrass glades and kelp forest. Whalewatching:
We use a Hydrophone and so can listen to the Whalesong. While there are 24 species of Whales & Dolphins in our waters we normally only encounter Fin and Minke whales and Bottlenose Dolphins but any thing can turn up. Wildlife Tours: The boat is based in an S.A.C. and we share the area with a large colony of Harbour seals and some grey seals. The seals can be observed up-close 365 days per year. The area is also home to large numbers of Duck, Curlew, Oystercatcher, Heron, Dunlin & Swan.
We visit Inismurry and Rathlin O’Byrne Islands and the sea-cliffs with their vast Sea-Bird colonies, expect the expected! We encounter Basking shark, Sunfish, Bluefin Tuna even exotic flotsam that harbours unusual species.  

Doolin Ferry  

Doolin Ferry operates two modern comfortable vessels which meet the highest safety standards set down by the Irish department of the Marine. Doolin Ferry is operated by the local O’Brien family.

The service was originally carried out using traditional local boats called “currachs”. Daily departures to Inishmore and Inishere from Doolin Pier, Co. Clare. Groups and individuals catered for.

Guides arranged as required. Minibus/bicycles arranged as required. 2008 One hour cruise to the Cliffs of Moher from Doolin Pier. 100 pax catered for. Comfortable passage and wonderful views. Groups and individuals catered for. Rates on request.

Down Dog  

I provide one-to-one training in your own home or environment and I also run a range of training classes using positive, reward based methods, all aimed at you having fun with your dog. Classes include puppy, general obedience, agility, flyball and doggy dancing.

I hold an Advanced Diploma in canine behaviour management and have many years experience in managing dog behaviour problems. I provide one-to-one visits to your own home to assess your dog\'s behaviour problem(s) and agree a personalised management plan to deal with them.

I mainly cover the eastern half of northern Ireland but will travel further by arrangement.
