St Ninian.

(Christian Missionary)

It id thought that Ninian was the son of a Roman soldier stationed at Hadrian's Wall, on the border between England and Scotland.

After studying in Rome and Gaul, he traveled to Galloway to spread the Christian gospel.

By 430 AD his followers had built the first Christian church in Scotland, at Whithorn.
