My great grand father came from County Mayo, I am studying music at college and would like to take a holiday in Ireland preferably Mayo and learn to play the harp. Is there anywhere I can combine the two?.
Miss P Molloy (Boston)

Ireland has a long musical tradition, throughout the country there are many festival and events celebrating famous musical personalities. We do not currently have any music holidays listed, however if you visit The Harp Net web site you may find one. There are Summer schools specializing in traditional music, some of which provide harp tuition, such the O'Carolan festival at Kedue, Co. Rosscommon .
