Roundwood House in Co. Laois is a country house hotel providing B&B and dinner to its guests in a beautiful region of central Ireland, at the foot of the unspoilt Slieve Bloom Mountains. Roundwood is a charming Georgian house which possesses immense character and is set amongst wooded, rambling gardens that cry out to be explored.

Our decision to open Roundwood as a guesthouse over 20 years ago was initially based on a desire to meet and interact with people and to fulfill a longstanding ambition to restore a house of great architectural merit.

The approach we have taken to all aspects of the accommodation and dining has been guided by our own personal experiences and, together with our staff, we endeavour to create a special place where personal service comes naturally, life is taken at a more relaxed pace and good food, wine and conversation abound.

Derafin is a Georgean house built in the 1860's it set in its own mature garden, offering accomodation for five or six people.

There are two double bedrooms and one single en suite, the house is heated with a combination of oil and electricity, and has cable television.

The house is located within easy distance of golf and fishing and horse trecking amenities.

Derafin House has much to commend it for a relaxing holiday in the Irish countryside.

Located just five minutes walk from the town centre of Mountmellick, Brielle House would make an excellent base from which to explore the beautiful countryside of County Laois and beyond.

This beautiful self catering bungalow equipped with all modern conveniences will sleep up to six persons. If you are visiting in the colder weather there is full oil fired central heating or you can snuggle up in front of a traditional open fire.

You will find lots to do such as hill walking in the magnificent Slieve Bloom Mountains, there are equestrian centre's and golf courses in the locality, and many places of interest to visit.
