Castlewellan Station sometime after 1906 when it came into operation,
the line from Castlewellan to Newcastle was owned by the BCDR (Belfast
& County Down Railway) while the line from Castlewellan to Ballyroney
and on to Banbridge was owned by the GNR (Great Northern Railway) which
operated the Belfast to Dublin line.
