Celtic House B&B  

This quality TAA (Tourism Approval Authority) approved Bed and Breakfast is in an excellent location at the heart of Kilkenny City and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, pubs and all local amenities. The B&B was built in 1998 and offers private secure parking for guests. The B&B is just a four minute walk from the bus and train station and is an excellent touring base for Kilkenny and surrounding areas. All rooms are comfortable, spacious and have Ensuite facilities, TV, Tea/Coffee etc.

Childrens Books Ireland  

Every year, CBI has the pleasure of inviting one of our favourite illustrators to create an original artwork to be used on Children's Books Festival merchandise and printed materials. Following in the footsteps of Alan Clark, Annie West, Mark Oliver and many others, this year Kevin Waldron took on the commission and has just submitted his final design (see picture right). Born in Dublin in 1979, Kevin has since lived in both London and now NewYork.

Classic Walls uses Polished plaster, often called venetian plaster, to create a wall finish used extensively in Northern Italy during the Renaissance period.

Polished Plaster can be used on the exterior or interior of any building ensuring a hard wearing and stylish finish which will last for years.

Internal Plaster Finishes Technically and aesthetically polished plaster today is a close relative of the stucco lustro and marmorino finishes of the past. The main differences are the greater choice of effects and the substitution where appropriate of modern working methods and materials to ensure consistency and equality.  

Cleggan Beach Riding Centre  

Cleggan Beach Riding Centre is situated on the entrance to Cleggan village. We offer beach trekking to a very high standard. The trek to Omey Island is an experience not to be missed.

With 3 resident qualified instructors, we offer riding lessons to competition standard. Horses and ponies are suitable for beginners to advanced.

Hats and boots are available. Tack Shop on site. Home-bred and produced Connemara ponies for sale.

Capable of taking 67 passengers, Captain PJ Gerrohy has over 30 years local sailing experience. Nature Watch: The Cliffs are home to over 20 species of birds. You will see, from a respectful distance, thosands of puffins, guillemots and others filling the sky with noise and colour.

You may also meet some friendly dolphins. In safe hands: Licensed by the Department of the Marine, the \' Jack B \' has a fully qualified skipper and crew. Captain P.J Garrihy has over 30 years local sailing experience and is very knowledgeable about the cliffs and surrounding area. Come and enjoy the view !
