The maidens lighthouse located on the largest of a group of rocky islands off the east coast of Antrim a little to the south of the ferry port of Larne. It was 1828 when the first light was established on the Maidens Rock, actually for some reason there were two, the west was abandonred in 1903..

The Maidens was automated on 31st October 1977, the tower is white with one black stripe, the image on the right is St Johns in County Down.
