Irish Stew.
Ingredient's.
Metric
Imperial
Stewing Meat 200 g 1/2 Ib
Potatoes 800 g 2 lbs
Carrots 1 no  
Onions 1 No  
Salt 5 ml 1 teaspoon
Water 375 ml 3/4 pint
 

Peel potatoes, carrots and onions. Put alternative layers of the above in the pan add seasoning and water. Stew gently for two hours
Serve garnished with parsley.

Use a sausepan with a tight fitting lid.
Never let a stew boil.
"A stew boiled is a stew spoiled."
