The
Erne Navigation comprises of Upper and Lower Lough Erne, they are connected
by the River Erne which flows through Enniskillen. The maximum length
of the system is 64 Km (40 Miles) from Belturbet
in County Cavan to Belleek in County Fermanagh. The two lakes have a combined
cruising area of xx sq Km (xx Sq Miles) there is no acess from the sea,
the Shannon-Erne Waterway connects the waterway to the Shannon navigation,
which was re-opened in 1994..
