Mountain Trekking Centre. |

Picturesque equestrian centre and B & B located in the stunning unspoilt mountain countryside of North Tipperary, within 20 kms of Nenagh, Thurles, and Templemore and within easy driving distance of Cork, Dublin, Kilkenny, Portlaoise, Limerick, Shannon and Galway. We have unparalleled access to hundreds of acres of mountain pastures laden with legends and folk lore, containing ring forts, hill forts, a standing stone, and panoramic mountain views. You can go on a guided off-road trek from one hour to all day long, and ride across country to Upperchurch Village for lunch in Kinnane’s Bar. You can also go for a hack around quiet country lanes for up to three hours, if you prefer on-road riding. Our treks are suitable for novice as well as experienced riders. We can take a party of up to 10 people on a trek or a hack but we do not mix groups and are happy to take you out on your own, or with just a few friends. We also specialise in lessons for children and adults, residential riding holidays, pony camps, and courses on horsemanship. Lessons take place in our large sand arena, our show-jumping area, or over natural jumps in the fields. We use ‘natural horsemanship’ techniques in the training and management of our horses and riders and we are dedicated to teaching sensitive and balanced riding, and well as providing eco-friendly and environmentally sustainable holidays. Our riding holidays include full-board packages where you can sample our organic meat-free cuisine, visit a traditional music session, tour a spectacular family-owned medieval castle, and brush up on your horsemanship and riding skills. Children aged 10 and over are welcome to stay at one of our residential pony camps. We are approved by the Association of Irish Riding Establishments (AIRE) for instruction and trekking and our riding holidays are approved by Responsible Travel. We hold two Outstanding Horsemanship awards from Irish Natural Horsemanship.
