Lissadell
House. |

| (Ring fort of the blind.) This house was built for Sir Robert Gore-Booth by Francis Goodwin in the 1830's, it is a neo classical two storey building rather plain on the outside, although the interior makes up for this. The entrance hall is lined with round Ionic and square Doric columns, with a double staircase leading to a half landing with a fireplace. The gallery also with Ionic columns reaches to the roof and is illuminated by a clerestory and a skylight. The library and dining room contain memorabilia of the Gore-Booth family, especially the sisters Eva and Constance (Countess Markievicz). A double portrait of them by Sarah Purser hangs in the dining room. The house is open to the public, some of the Goore-Booth's still occupy the house. |

| Located on Cleveragh Road this centre has a 25-metre swimming pool, steam room, spa, and children’s pool. Public swims on the hour last 50mins. There is a fully equipped gym and the sports hall may be rented out. The complex also has an astro turf pitch, which can be hired. Buses every 20 mins from Abbey St. Sixth stop.

| Set on the tranquil shores of Lough Gill Hazelwood is a wooden sculpture & nature trail centre created by Irish and International sculptors. Once part of the Hazelwood Estate owned by the Wynnes family.

Doorly
Park. |

| This park was in the 19th century the property of Colonel W G Woodmartin of Cleveragh he developed this wetland on the estate. A series of ponds were excavated and drier areas were planted with oak, scots pine and a number of other species of tree. The park is named after a late bishop
of area Dr Edward Doorly. There is a nature trail and a picnic area.
