(Ring of the Rath). This ring fort dates from the iron age, it consist of concentric circular dry stone walls the outer of which is 7 to 10 Ft high, enclosing an area of about eighteen acres. According to tradition it was the seat of the kings of south Leinster, the inner wall is thought to date from about the middle ages
