The Bonet River rises in Glenade Lough, County
Leitrim and flows past Manorhamilton and Dromahair into Lough Gill. It
gives excellent salmon fishing in spring, summer and autumn and holds
good stocks of brown trout. There are six distinct fisheries on the river.
The principal ones are those of Manorhamilton Angling
Club, Dromahair Lodge and Stanford's Inn; of the other three fisheries
Dromahair Angling Club has half a mile at Glebe House.
