Tully Castle.

(Small hill, mound.)

Located on a hill overlooking Lough Erne at Derrygonnelly near Enniskillen, this fortified house and Bawn was built in 1613 by Sir John Hume a Scottish planter. The castle was attacked on Christmas day 1641 by Rory Mauire, virtually all the inhibatants were slaughtered.

Although there was never a tradition locally of the castle being haunted, in the early 1960's two seperate witnesses claimed to have seen two figures carrying pikes and leading horses, one appeared to have a chest wound.

Features of the castle include a formal garden and visitor centre.
