Ti Chulainn specialises in organising cultural events and activities to enable visitors to experience and participate in the rich cultural heritage of the region. It also currently houses an extensive collection of folklore gathered by Michael J Murphy and other researchers in the archive. The archive contains sound, video, print and photographic material relating to the cultural heritage of the rural communities of South East Ulster ie. the region's heritage of folk and traditional music, language (both English and Gaelic), song, dance, literature, drama, folklore, archaeology and local history. It also contains reference materials for the study of various aspects of this cultural heritage. Also housed in the archive is the Cuimhneamh Living History Project, which details the memories and recollections of people from across Armagh and Louth during the troubles.

The Centre lies between the Silent Valley and Spelga Dam. Local attractions include horse riding, golf, fishing, climbing, sailing, wind surfing and spectacular sight seeing. The Cnocnafeola centre, a purpose built hostel/budget accommodation centre, has a large spacious lounge area with comfy chairs, television, video, DVD, games and a selection of books.
